Lady Aurora From Solid Ground
I’m so incredibly happy that so many of our friends got to finally experience and photograph auroras yesterday night! 🎉 the perfect atmospheric conditions summed up plus clear skies (which is rare this year in Helsinki), the aurora storm got to G2 level and it was visible even in Estonia. … For @sallapyy and I, this aurora hunt was such a roller coaster 😂 I forgot my tripod in the pier when taking the ferry to @suomenlinnaofficial. Then I had to go back to mainland with the next ferry to pick it up (luckily we live in Finland, the tripod was still where I left it!) and jumped back again to the ferry, Suomenlinna island bound. All this while Salla was location scouting in the island, then the show started, victory. … 📷: @sallapyy
| The Dragon King | . In ancient China, dragons were a big part of their philosophy and the symbol of the Chinese Emperor, then looking at Northern Lights was so uncommon (still is) that they associated their legends with these mystical beasts. For them, a sky with dancing lights like this turned to a battlefield of good and evil dragons breathing fire across the starry night. What an epic battle! .
