Who am I?

Hello there! Thanks for reading Mercurial Travels, I hope you’ll find the inspiration to step into the unknown and explore our beautiful planet.

Mercurial Travel?

Mercurial Travel? This is a question I get many times. These 2 words came together in 2014. When travelling there are these times when you need to improvise and really just leave it to fate, you can’t control everything.

“We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate.

We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again- to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more.”

Why I Write...

I don't only write to pass down information on places, routes and things to do. I write to keep track of where I've been and what I have done. Then in the future when I am old and with passports full of stamps I can look back, read and feel what I felt years ago.
